Marrying someone from Eastern Europe

More and more men marry someone from another country. They travel more or work abroad and meet the woman of their dreams. Many men find their partner in Eastern Europe, some do this by going online and subscribe at a dating site, others meet their partner on one of their travels. What makes these women so special and why do Western European men find these ladies so attractive? 

The numbers

According to Statistics Netherlands, it is mostly Dutch natives who let their brides from the former Soviet Union or Poland come to the Netherlands. Two thirds of those immigrants in the Netherlands live with or are married to a Dutch native. The largest share of these people are women. Statistics show that in 2001, 2500 immigrants (mostly women) came from Poland and the former Soviet Union to start a family. This number has increased over the years due to a growing popularity of online dating and because men meet women from other cultures during holidays or work.

Reasons to marry a Russian woman 

One of the reasons to marry a Russian woman is her beauty. This is mainly because these women spend more time on their looks. They often dress very feminine and stylish. This has to do with their need to be attractive for the other sex. Another reason is that these women are often highly educated and intelligent. Furthermore, they are interested in foreign men. That has partly to do with Russian men's attitudes and their alchol abuse. Financial security and real love are other reasons to marry someone foreign. 

International dating sites

There are many online dating sites on which Eastern European women from Poland, Russia, Ukraine and the Baltic states offer themselves. Not all of these sites are reliable and some of them are just meant to make money. Don't transfer money too soon during your search for the ideal woman. Try to find out as soon as possible if you're dealing with a real woman or a bunch of crooks. This can be done by talking to the lady on the phone or sending her a present, such as earrings, and ask her if she wants to send you a photo of her wearing these earrings. Also look at her emails: are they standard of personal? In case you want to use dating sites, choose a reliable one that is honest and transparant about its policies. A website with only beautiful Eastern European women waiting for a 45 year old man from the Netherlands can't be reliable.

Vacation

It is possible you'll meet the woman of your dreams during your holidays. Especially in Turkey, many tourists are from Eastern Europe nowadays. It is much easier and real to come into contact with your dream woman over there. By talking face-to-face rather than by email, it is easier to find out her intentions. If you work abroad, it is obviously easier because then you'll have lots of time to get to know the woman.
